A fresh new logo & brand that better covers todays activities of Medical Production Technologies. In the 10 years of existence, the focus of the company broadened from equipment for balloon catheter and stent manufacturers to customers that need custom equipment solutions. About half of todays turnover is based on custom equipment and process developments done for customers in the Medical Device Industry (the focus is 100% Medical).
Significant investments have been made over the years to become a vertically integrated company. This means that all machining, electrical development, software development and designing is done in house. This allows the company to operate less dependent from external parties and to keep key technologies in house.
These developments have made Jurgen de Vries decide to set up the company in two pillars – one focusing on the equipment for balloon catheter and stent manufacturers and the other one focusing on custom equipment and processes. Where on the existing equipment side the company has standard modules and solutions which are tailored to the customers’ requirements, on the custom side equipment and process development can start from scratch depending on the stage where we get in contact with the customer.
In the Medical Device Industry it is all about speed to market (see graph 1). The quicker you are able to get there, the sooner you have a return on your investment. Medical Production Technologies can help the customer get their product ready for market quicker by developing and building processes which are reliable and robust. The right equipment allows for quicker and more reliable processes and product development.
From scratch to (automated) production equipment and process(es) we talk about several machine iterations – from first protototypes to small volume production to full production equipment.
The start of a new custom project always requires face to face meetings where project requirements and specifications are being discussed and put together. You could either be a large multinational or a start up company that just got funded. Part of our engineering team (depending on the size of the project) basically becomes temporarily part of your team. We can be as much involved as you like and require us to be.
