MPT Europe has developed manual, semi-automated and fully automated systems that use very thin protective foil for safe handling of these products. That is great news, as the FDA is getting more stringent with regard to regulations for these so called Combination Products.
With the protective foil – only 12 micron thick – every single product keeps a clean surface whilst going through the various process steps. Also, due to more repetitive behaviour the drug dose remains more even.
The unique foil handling system has very little relative motion to the balloons, so during the pleat & fold steps there are minimal scraping issues.
